Eyes wide open I entered this world to see but only dark.

Someone there anointed my eyes but did not Light impart.

I wonder how many anointed ones who ever make a sound,

Can see they can but bear the Light not be the Light profound?

For when my eyes at last did shut I saw through blindness clear,

For what I saw I could not see till faith replaced the fear.

Now darkness does not sit as judge nor peers for my jury

But Light alone bows my knee and releases Peace with fury.

Discipline is my solace a rod applied with Love…

I hear before I see to reach the height above.

Tears dim my eyes in journey now I see darkly yet tis sweet

Truth lights my path as I head home to worship at His feet.
