For twenty plus years he’s retired at night

With very few hours of sleep

Duty always calls upon all of his time

His work schedule  no clock can keep

For he takes his job into his rest

And never forgets that he serves

His beloved town and her citizens

Though he seldom receives praise he deserves

His badge has always been steady

He’s endured  the hardships in stride

Always protecting “His People”

He holds in honor and dignity with pride

Sgt. Bilo’s tour is soon ending

Though he retires his heart remains blue

A policemen who defined the position

Not in mere titles but true

You’ll miss him for sure but remember

I’ve missed him a lot too through some years

Yet I would not take back a moment

He served you with love and my tears
