Psa 33:4  For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psa 33:5  He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Psa 33:6  By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1Jo 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Note there are three that bear record in heaven.

1Jo 5:8  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Compare that with three that bear witness in earth.

Both terms “bear record” and “bear witness” are translated from same Greek word “matureo” meaning that one is sure that he has seen, heard or experienced something.  Testimony is evidence that courts allow to prove something or someone.  You can give testimony about an incident you have seen or what you have heard.  You can give testimony about a person’s character etc..  Testimony is given to prove a fact or claim.

A record is usually something documented, written down.

So there is a record in heaven written down, then God spoke and it became a testimony on earth.  Same word same meaning, the two became one in Jesus Christ.

 Who are you one with?

In the beginning the serpent asked, Did God Say?  Then he achieved his real goal he managed to turn our focus from God to ourselves.

In the serpents statement Gen 3:4 and 5 he subtley says “you shall not die” your eyes shall be opened, you shall become as gods, you, you, you and three times charmed the woman right into looking at the tree and not listening to God.  That tree of good and evil represents self with all the lusts and pride of life.  It represents what is good to look at not what is true.  We continue today to want to see a sign, yet God beckons us to have an ear to hear.  He pleads with us not to walk by sight, but by faith and faith comes by hearing.  Can you hear God saying “Where are you?”

Are we hiding behind our pride, covering ourselves in guilt?

Who told us we were naked?

We lookat each other with judgement based on our new knowledge of “good and evil” instead of hearing the voice of the Good Shepherd crying from the Tree of Life….It is Finished.  Come home.  I am the Word that came down from heaven, I was broken for your transgression in the garden, I was bruised for the inquity of your mind, I took the chastiment for your peace, I died that you might live……Take eat…By my stripes you are healed….By my blood that was shed you are saved from the curse of death brought on by sin……..Hear The Word…….Faith comes by hearing……………

In the beginning God said “Let there be Light” and Light was and it was good and He separated it from the darkness……His Word is a Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path…..How can I who have walked in such marvelous Light ever want to even consider looking at the darkness………….?

The question is Me or God?  Satan’s answer to that question was Me.  He chose self over God.  He loved himself and he fell right into this world.

1Pe 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Did you know that that word devour means literally to “drink in” to “gulp down entirely”

What was the old serpents curse?

Gen 3:14  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

So the old serpent is doing his job well crawling around eating dust.  Dust is just small dry particles of dirt……what was man created from?

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,

Formed from the dust, but

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God formed man from dust, but he breathed into him life….a man became a living soul.  That’s what God said in His Word.

So if the soul is our mind, then sin causes us to lose our right mind, right?  Temptation comes in many forms but it is always the same foundation “Did God Say?”  Know the Word, the Word is Truth, The Truth Set You Free, renew your mind!

Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

1Pe 5:9  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.
1Pe 5:11  To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

To be continued for His Word is everlasting…….and His mercy endures forever…that’s What God Says!
