A great deal has been written about the Bible throughout centuries. My question today is what is THE Truth?
The Bible (from Greek (τα) βιβλια, (ta) biblia, “(the) books”, plural of βιβλιον, biblion, “book”, originally a diminutive of βιβλος, biblos, which in turn is derived from βυβλος—byblos, meaning “papyrus”, from the ancient Phoenician city of Byblos which exported this writing material), is the classical name for the Hebrew Bible …

So the word bible just means “books”.
A detailed and sometimes authoritative reference book covering a particular operating system, platform, or application. Originally, this was used generically to describe fundamental source books; more recently, it has been embraced by computer book publishers as a marketing ploy.

The are just two definitions located for the word bible you can do your own search and find many more. (My search)
The word “bible” has come from many different words with rich meanings down to the present term meaning just “book”.
According to the Online Etymology Dictionary any authoritative book could be labeled “bible”, today.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1. That’s written in the book I have in front of me. The outside covers has the words Holy Bible. The Holy Book. What makes this book Holy? The word bible does not appear in the book before me, but the words “book and books” does in the Hebrew form of “sepher” or “siphrah” and the Greek form of “biblion” from the root “biblos”.
The Hebrew word “sepher” just means book or writing but interestingly it comes from a Hebrew root word meaning to score with a mark, tally, record….hummmm when we say we miss the mark….
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
God is a Spirit according to John 4:24. This is the nature of God, invisible and without beginning or end. He exists and in Him everything else exists. So on the first day, God spoke, and if we can understand the fullness of the Word Light that God spoke we have discovered the Truth. The search is on, the answer is given. The Light was good. The Light was separated from the darkness. The Light brought order to chaos. The Light filled the void. The Light is Truth. One Word containing all power and Truth. God spoke it in the beginning. He spoke the Word so that the Word could be heard. The beginning of Faith is contained in the Word, Light……So my journey begins with Light.
